"We did the Trans Siberian Express in August 1998. Every station seemed to be
a marketplace where the travellers tried to make their trade, selling
everything that could be sold. After a few stops we did the same with lent
umbrella's, t-shirts. Lots of people earned their money that way, travelling
from Ulaan Baator to Moscow vise versa."
